🌏 China Overtakes U.S. as Southeast Asia’s Preferred Ally

In a surprising turn, more Southeast Asians would prefer China to the U.S., tipping the scales for the first time since 2020. According to a survey, China's approval jumped past 50%, leaving the U.S. with a drop from 61.1% to 49.5%. "ASEAN should build up its resilience and unity" was voiced by nearly half of the respondents in a survey conducted by the ASEAN Studies Centre.
