🇺🇸 US Approves $20B Weapons Sale to Israel

The U.S. has approved a $20 billion weapons package for Israel, including over 50 F-15 fighter jets, advanced missiles, and tank ammunition. The State Department announced the sale, which aims to enhance Israel's long-term military capabilities amid regional tensions. Deliveries are expected to begin by 2026, with the first jets arriving in 2029. This decision comes as President Biden presses a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

Kishida highlighted the need trust and reform stating, "The first and clearest step to show that the LDP is changing is for me to step down."  

🚨 Israel Detains Palestinian Olympic Head

Israeli authorities detained Jibril Rajoub, head of the Palestinian Olympic Committee, citing security concerns. Rajoub argued that Israel’s participation violates Olympic principles due to its actions in Gaza. He stated, “This confirms that there are international institutions that insist on applying double standards.” The International Olympic Committee rejected this, maintaining the need for political neutrality.

The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on August 9th, with Jackson identified as the primary aggressor. She was booked at the West Hollywood police station, and her case will be processed at the Van Nuys Superior Court. The identity of the person involved in the incident has not been disclosed. 

🔥 Sparks' Dearica Hamby Sues WNBA, Aces Over Discrimination

Los Angeles Sparks forward Dearica Hamby has filed a lawsuit against the WNBA and her former team, the Las Vegas Aces, alleging discrimination and retaliation after revealing her pregnancy. Hamby claims she faced intimidation, loss of benefits, and questioning of her dedication from coach Becky Hammon. She is seeking damages and has criticized the WNBA's investigation, stating, "The EEOC did not make any finding regarding the facts."

Omar, a vocal critic of Israel who faced criticism in 2019, celebrated her win by stating, “We run the politics of joy... It is joyful to fight for your neighbors... for housing and healthcare to be human rights.”

🚨 UAW Sues Trump and Musk for Alleged Worker Intimidation

The UAW has lodged complaints with the NLRB against Trump and Musk, accusing them of worker intimidation. During a social media broadcast, Trump commended Musk's approach to dealing with strikers, saying, "You walk in, you just say: 'You want to quit?... 'That’s okay, you’re all gone.'" UAW President Fain criticized these remarks as "economic terrorism," adding, "Both Trump and Musk want working class people to sit down and shut up." 

🚨 2,300+ Pounds of Meth Found in Celery at Georgia Market

Federal agents  seized more than 2,300 pounds of methamphetamine hidden inside celery at the Atlanta State Farmers Market in Forest Park. The drugs were traced from a semitrailer that had crossed the Mexican border and were found on Monday. A Mexican citizen was arrested in connection with the bust. DEA  Special Agent Robert Murphy remarked, "This was contained in a cover load of celery."
