Speaking Monday, He emphasized balancing inflation concerns with maintaining a strong labor market, signaling that future rate adjustments will likely be smaller unless economic data shifts. Kashkari stated, "We will likely take smaller steps unless the data changes materially."

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine's war with Russia is "closer to an end" calling for increased military support from allies during an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. Zelenskyy’s appeal comes amid heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine and ahead of his meetings with U.S. leaders. He stated, "We are closer to the end of the war."  

🔥 Israeli Strikes Kill 492 in Lebanon's Deadliest Day Since 2006

Israel's airstrikes on Monday in Lebanon killed 492 people, including women and children, making it the deadliest day since the 2006 war with Hezbollah. The strikes targeted Hezbollah positions in southern and eastern Lebanon, triggering large-scale evacuations. In response, Hezbollah launched rockets into Israel, intensifying hostilities while Israeli forces urged civilians to leave. Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari stated, “We will do whatever is necessary.”

NASA is set to launch the Europa Clipper mission from Kennedy Space Center on October 10, 2024, using SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy rocket to explore Jupiter’s moon Europa for signs of life. The spacecraft will reach Europa in 2030, studying its subsurface ocean. Gina DiBraccio, NASA’s Planetary Science Division Director, stated, "This mission will help us understand a complex piece of our solar system." 

🚨 Elon Musk Confirms X Will Alter Blocking Feature: 'High Time'

Elon Musk confirmed X's plans to modify its blocking feature, allowing blocked users to view public posts but preventing engagement. Web developer Nima Owji initially reported the change, with Musk calling it "high time." While some supported the move, many users expressed concerns about potential harassment risks. Musk stated, "The block function will block that account from engaging, but not block seeing public posts."

🔫 Tennessee man testifies to killing rapper Young Dolph with an accomplice

Cornelius Smith testified on Monday that he and Justin Johnson fatally shot rapper Young Dolph on November 17, 2021, under orders from Big Jook, Yo Gotti’s brother. The shooting took place outside a Memphis cookie store in broad daylight. Johnson’s legal team cast doubt on Smith’s testimony, questioning its accuracy. Smith admitted, "I wasn’t feeling anything. I was just trying to get some money."

The U.S. Commerce Department has proposed new regulations to prohibit the use of Chinese software and hardware in internet-connected vehicles on Monday, citing concerns over data security and potential remote manipulation. The software ban is set for 2027, with hardware restrictions starting in 2029. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo stated, "We’re issuing a proposed rule to address these new national security threats."  

🌪️ Helene to Hit Florida as Category 3 Storm This Week

Helene, forming in the Caribbean, is set to hit Florida’s Gulf Coast as a Category 3 hurricane on Thursday with 115 mph winds and storm surges over 9 feet. Severe flooding and power outages are expected. Governor Ron DeSantis declared a state of emergency. Meteorologist Ryan Truchelut stated, “Helene will come at you faster than you think, so go into hurricane mode now.”

🚓 FBI Report: Violent Crime Down, Car Thefts Up in 2023 

Violent crime decreased by 3%, and property crime fell by 2.4% in 2023, according to the FBI report. Notably, murders dropped 11.6%, marking the largest single-year decline in 20 years. However, motor vehicle theft surged by 12.6%. President Biden stated, "This confirms again that Americans are safer than when we took office."
