📉 Fed Inflation Gauge Drops to 2.2% in August

The Fed's key inflation gauge, the PCE price index, fell to 2.2% in August from 2.5% in July, its lowest since February 2021. Lower goods prices and easing housing costs contributed to the decline. Core PCE rose 2.7%, while personal income and spending increased by 0.2%. Chris Larkin, Managing Director at E-Trade stated, “Inflation continues to keep its head down.”
