Consumer expectations for stocks surged to a three-year high in May, with a 40.5% probability of stock increases in the next year, up from 38.7% in April, per the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. This upbeat sentiment coincides with near-record highs in the stock market, with the S&P 500 up more than 12% and the Nasdaq Composite rising over 14% this year.    

📈 TSA screens record the number of travelers in one day 

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) set a new record on May 24th for the most travelers screened in a single day. TSA officers screened 2,951,163 individuals at checkpoints nationwide, surpassing the previous record from November 26, 2023, noting that five of the top 10 busiest travel days in TSA’s history occurred in 2024.
