Secretary-General António Guterres called for action, stating, “We are here to bring multilateralism back from the brink.”

Musk stated, "We’re counting on Starship to fulfill our goal of reaching Mars."

He fled during a tour of the Korean DMZ after skipping his flight back to the U.S. from Seoul. King received 12 months of confinement and a dishonorable discharge. Maj. Allyson Montgomery stated, "The outcome promotes good order."

🔫 4 Dead, 17 Injured in Birmingham Nightlife Shooting

Four people were killed and 17 injured when multiple shooters opened fire in Birmingham, Alabama, around 11 p.m. Saturday in the Five Points South entertainment district. Police believe the shooting was a targeted hit, with innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire. Birmingham Police Chief Scott Thurmond stated, “Someone was willing to pay money to have that person killed.” 

🛑 House Introduces Three-Month Stopgap Funding Bill 

House Republicans, led by Speaker Mike Johnson, introduced a three-month stopgap funding bill to prevent a government shutdown before the Sept. 30 deadline. Scheduled for a vote on Wednesday, the bill funds the government until Dec. 20 and replenishes FEMA. Johnson highlighted the need for bipartisan support, stating, "Our legislation will be a very narrow, bare-bones CR including only the extensions that are absolutely necessary."
