An outbreak in 2019 linked to vaping caused over 2,800 hospitalizations and 68 deaths. Recent research, including a study presented at the American College of Cardiology meeting, suggests a 19% increased risk of heart failure in e-cigarette users aged 18 and older.  Yakubu Bene-Alhasan of MedStar Health states. "I think this research is long overdue, especially considering how much e-cigarettes have gained traction."
